Disney’s “Treasure Buddies” Printable Family-Friendly Recipes
Disney has provided us with some new family-friendly recipes to celebrate the January 31st release of Treasure Buddies on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack. Choose from Meat and Veggie Kabobs with Hummus or Dessert Trek Mix. Click on the link above or print the Kabob recipe below.

“Budderball’s Mirage”
Meat and Vegetable Kabobs
: Disney in honor of “Treasure Buddies”

This recipe is meant to be prepared by an adult – please closely supervise children assisting in the preparation. ©2011 Disney
Ingredients
- Marinade
- 2 Tbl lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1-1/2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 Tbl olive oil
- 1 Tbl honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- Kabobs
- 1 pd skinless, boneless chicken breast – (cut into 1-1/2″ cubes)
- 1 yellow bell pepper (seeded and cut into 1-1/2″ squares)
- 1 orange bell pepper (seeded and cut into 1-1/2″ squares)
- 1 medium red onion (quartered)
- 1 zucchini (cut into 1″ slices)
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
- For the marinade:
- In a medium bowl, combine all marinade ingredients and whisk until combined/
- Prepare your meat: Pour marinade over prepared chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- While the chicken marinates, wash and prepare your vegetables.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes. Carefully slide each piece of food onto your skewer so that each gently touches the next. Kabobs take longer to cook if packed too tight. Alternate onions and peppers with the chicken and zucchini to help flavor your meat while cooking.
- Heat grill to medium high for 10 minutes. Carefully brush oil onto the heated grill. Place kabobs across the hottest part of grill.
- After 3 minutes rotate one quarter using tongs to protect your hands. Repeat on all sides. Move your kabob to a cooler part of the grill until the meat is fully cooked.
- Remove from grill and let rest 5 minutes before serving (remove skewers before serving to kids)
- be sure that meat is fully cooked before serving.
- Serve with grilled pita and hummus and ENJOY!
