DisneyNature CHIMPANZEE Movie In Theaters Earth Day 2012
“See CHIMPANZEE,
Save Chimpanzees”
Disneynature has joined forces with the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) to celebrate the upcoming release of CHIMPANZEE. For each ticket purchased throughout the film’s opening seven days (April 20-26, 2012), Disneynature is going to make a contribution to JGI via the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund in an effort to safeguard chimpanzees along with their habitats, today and straight into the future.
Disneynature will take movie audiences deep inside the forests of Africa when “Chimpanzee,” hits the theaters on Earth Day 2012. The fourth in the Disneynature series, it joins previous blockbusters -“Earth,” “Oceans” and “African Cats”-all of these films have been among the top grossing feature-length nature movies in history.
This new true life adventure introduce a precious infant chimp called Oscar and his amusing way of life in the exceptional tale of family bonds as well as personal success. Oscar’s impish curiosity and love of discovery highlight the intelligence and resourcefulness among the most magnificent personalities within the animal kingdom. Working collectively, Oscar’s chimpanzee family unit-which includes his mom as well as the group’s knowledgeable leader – navigates the dangerous and complicated territory with the forest.
The forest is little Oscar and his fellow chimps’ playground and they’d rather create mayhem than take an afternoon nap. However, when Oscar’s loved ones are challenged by an adversarial band of chimps, he’s left behind to look after himself until finally an unexpected ally steps up that changes his life once and for all.
Directors : Alastair Fothergill (“African Cats” and “Earth”) and Mark Linfield (“Earth”)
“Chimpanzee” swings into theaters on Earth Day 2012 (4/20/12)
